Mr. Jim Barham, 63, of Little Rock, died Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at his lake house on Lake Enterprise in Wilmot. Mr. Barham was a native of Ashley County; a resident of Little Rock for the past 39 years and a resident of Wilmot for the past two years. He graduated from University of Arkansas, Little Rock and he was a veteran of the United States Marines having served during the Vietnam Era. He worked for the Little Rock Waste Water Department for 38 years having retired in 2011. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, Scottish Rite of the Oak Grove Lodge. A member of the Little Rock Civitan Club for 30 years having served as President and worked with the Special Olympics for a number of years. He was a Cub Scout Master and a volunteer parent at the Little Rock Racquet Club in the Swimming Program. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Maumelle where he served as church treasurer at one time. He is preceded in death by his father, Andy Barham; his mother, Vera Mae Nolley Barham and a brother, Dr. Jerry Barham. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Donnice Hammond Barham of Little Rock; a daughter, Ashley M. Barham of Little Rock; a son, Mark A. Barham of Wilmot; a grandson, Andrew Miller; a brother, Jack Barham of Belle Glade, Florida and a sister, Pat Pillert of Little Rock. Graveside services and burial will be 2 p.m., Friday in the Wilmot Cemetery with Rev. Charles R. Miller officiating. Pallbearers are Michael Miller, Neal Hammond, Paul Akers, John David Barham, Ron Miller, Stevie Hammond, Eddie Hammond and Enoch Miller. Memorials may be made to the Special Olympics Arkansas, 2115 Main Street, North Little Rock, Ark. 72114. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday.
