Noah Duane Waldrup

Noah Duane (N.D.: Popa) Waldrup passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at the Woods Nursing Home in Monticello at the age of 87 years. He was born January 24, 1926 in Halley, Ark. to the late Noah Joshua and Ozie Myrtle Jones Waldrup. He was a retired farmer, Farm Bureau board member, member of the Antioch Baptist Church of McGehee and was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II having served in the last Horse Calvary Division. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Alice Orrell Waldrup of McGehee; his children, Jimmy Duane (Barbara) Waldrup of Selma, Diane (Eddy) Cherry of McGehee, Patty (Eddie) Young of McGehee and Teressa (Ralph) Hunter of Monticello; two sisters, Gladys Waldrup and Marlene Tucker both of Monticello; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with burial in Tillar Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Antioch Baptist Church of McGehee, 200 N.
