Mrs. Sharon Ann (Hutchison) Baker 71, of Bee Branch, Arkansas passed away Friday, February 1, 2013. She was born April 23, 1941 at Little Rock, Arkansas to the late John T. and Ruth (Rogers) Hutchison. Sharon attended South Side High School and graduated from Clarendon High School in 1959. She then began her career in the insurance business in Little Rock, Ark. with the National Old Line Insurance Company. Sharon met Lloyd in 1961 and they were married April 27, 1963 at Clarendon, Ark. Sharon shared her life with Lloyd and son, Chris, in Little Rock for 30 years before retiring and moving to Bee Branch. Sharon became a regular volunteer with the Van Buren County Historical Society and Ozark Health Medical Center while taking care of her mother, Ruth. During the last few years, she worked tirelessly with the other volunteers to raise money for hospital equipment, staff support, and patient care. Sharon was an active member at Damascus Methodist Church where she served in numerous lay leadership roles including United Methodist Women. Sharon is survived by her husband, Lloyd F. Baker; son, Chris and wife Lisa of Austin, TX and grandchildren, Alexandra and Andrew Baker. She is also survived by her uncle Billy Rogers and wife Mary of Bee Branch, Ark.; and many cousins from the Hutchison and Rogers families. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, John T. and Ruth (Rogers) Hutchison. Family will gather with friends at 9 a.m. and Memorial Service will be 10 a.m. Friday, February 8, 2013 at Damascus United Methodist Church with Pastors Vaughn Marsden and Mark McDonald officiating. Inurnment will follow at Pine Mountain Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to: Van Buren County Historical Society and Museum, P.O. Box 1023 Clinton, Arkansas 72031.
