Carl Rexie Brannum

Carl Rexie Brannum, 69, of Bradford, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the White County Medical Center in Searcy. He was born October 9, 1943 in Bradford a son of the late Jesse and Ruby Thompson Brannum. He was a retired construction worker and was a proud U.S. Army veteran, having served in Vietnam. Carl leaves behind his wife, Tessie Brannum; four sons, Carl Brannum, Jr. (Lola), Paul Brannum (fiance - Shelly Akers), Marvin Brannum (April) and Dennis Scoggin (Shawnee); daughter, Lisa Brannum (fiance - Terry White); grandchildren, Carl, Amber, Chelleby, Marisa, Adriana, Cameron, Dillion, Nathan, Miranda, Becca, Kaily and Hunter; great-grandchildren, Kendra, Ethan and Chelsea; brothers, DeeAllen (Salvi), Charles, Jesse (Mary) and Bobby; sisters, Ann Gilmore (Glen), Barbara Spriggs (Michael) and Ruby Wherry (Larry); several nieces, nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Loudine Williams and a brother, Michael Brannum. Carl was greatly loved by all and will be missed by many. His generosity and love of family knew no bounds. A memorial service will be conducted on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Bald Knob with Bro.
