Clifford Whitehorn

CLIFFORD WHITEHORN, 87, of Little Rock, passed away on Feb. 8 in Little Rock. He was born July 17, 1925, in Little Rock where he attended Central High. He then enlisted in the U.S Navy and served in WWII. After being honorably discharged he became a firefighter for the city of Little Rock. During his long career as a firefighter he was known as "Whitey." After retiring from the fire department, he sold Watkins products throughout the city for many years and was affectionately known as the "Watkins Man." He had the innate ability to relate to people from a wide variety of backgrounds. He was a wonderful conversationalist and loved talking about his boys, the Chicago White Sox. Survivors include his beloved wife of 62 years Bernice Whitehorn of Little Rock. He also had three sons, Steven Whitehorn of San Antonio, Dr. Daniel Whitehorn of Little Rock and Clifford Jr. of Dallas. His only daughter was Donna Ray of Memphis. Other survivors include numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation is at Arkansas Funeral Care in Jacksonville from 10-11 a.m. Feb. 12 followed by a burial service at Forrest Hills Cemetery in Little Rock at 12 p.m. To sign his guestbook, please visit www.arkansasfuneralcare.com.
