John Wiley Hicks

John Wiley Hicks, age 77, of Lake Village, died Thursday, February 14, 2013, at his home. He was born March 2, 1935 to the late Charlie Hicks and Lillie Mae Carter Hicks. He was a farmer and a member of the Faith Fellowship Church in Greenville, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Willie and Jimmy Hicks. Survivors are his wife, Louise Gilbert Hicks, of Lake Village; a step-son, Howard Gilbert and wife, Nan, of Rosedale, Mississippi; a step-daughter, Bobbie Sue Lampkin and husband, Lavell, of McGehee; one brother, William Hicks; two sisters, Louise, and Evelyn; and 13 step-grandchildren. Visitation is from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2013 with Funeral services following at 11 a.m. at Bishop Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tommy Upton officiating. Arrangements were made by Bishop Funeral Home of Lake Village.
