Royce Jordan

Royce Jordan, age 82, of Crossett, Ark., passed away on February 14, 2013 at Morehouse General Hospital in Bastrop, La. He was born on June 20, 1930, the youngest of 13 children, to his parents, Charlie and Ollie Pogue Jordan. He was his happiest sitting on the front porch with the love of his life, and times of being surrounded by his children and grandchildren and all the "littluns". Mr. Jordan was a Charter Member of the First Church of God. He was preceded in death by parents and a granddaughter, Nemi Day. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Sue Jordan of Crossett, Ark.; one son, Wayne Jordan (Teri) of Crossett, AR; two daughters, Judy Jordan of Crossett, Ark., Ginger Aldridge (Calvin) of Cabot, Ark.; two brothers, Perry Jordan, Parnell Jordan, both of Crossett; a sister, Pauline McClain of El Dorado, Ark.; five grandchildren, Mardi Weems (Paul), Charlie Jordan (Katie), Andrew Aldridge (Adrien), Amy Harrington (Neil), Amanda Bush (Ryan); 11 great-grandchildren, Tolland Weems, Jordan Day, Justine Day, Emily Jordan, Jase Jordan, Jackson Harrington, Sophia Bush, Samuel Bush, Silas Bush, Daniel Aldridge, Chloe Aldridge and a great-great-grandchild, Jaycee Janine Meeks and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 17, 2013 at First Church of God with Bro. Will Hughes officiating. Interment will follow at Lone Sassafras Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, AR. (www.jonesservice.com). Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the First Church of God, 1501 Main Street, Crossett, Ark.
