Evelyn Mary Smart

EVELYN MARY SMART, 95, of Little Rock died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, in Little Rock. She was born July 21, 1917, in Canfield, Ohio. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Dick and Bob, and a host of four-legged friends. Although Evelyn never married or had children of her own, she was a loved member of the family of Donna and David Smith, Mary Katherine Smith, and Sam Smith and his wife Rickie, all of Little Rock. Through her love of teaching and her love of others, Evelyn also shaped the life of her long-time church family at St. Paul United Methodist Church. She was also very appreciative of the help she received from two very special caretakers, Iris Reed and Ki Bowie. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 19, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 2223 Durwood Road, Little Rock, Ark. 72207.
