Joel Burton Wheat Jr.

Joel Burton Wheat Jr., 84, of Redfield, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013. He was born March 23, 1928, in Walking, Texas, to Joel Burton Wheat Sr. and Virgie Williford Wheat. He served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He attended River Road Non-Denominational Church. He was a great man who loved his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Wilma Jean Wheat. He is survived by son, Johnny Burton Wheat of Redfield; two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Billy Musgrove of Hot Springs, Jimmy Musgrove of Wright, and Forest Musgrove of White Hall; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be 1 p.m., Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at River Road Non-Denominational Church in Redfield, Ark., followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m., with John Treck officiating.
