Mrs. Betty Ann Bozeman, 70, of Portland, died Sunday, February 17, 2013. Mrs. Bozeman was a native of Parkdale and a resident of Portland for most of her life. She graduated from Portland High School in 1959. She has worked at the Portland Elementary School in the cafeteria for the past 18 years and she formerly worked as a secretary at Montrose Academy. She was a member of the Portland Baptist Church and a member of the Portland Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was an avid Razorback fan; she loved gardening, flowers and working with children. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Ann Smith in December of 2012; her parents, Charlie and Mona Lovett Chapman and a step-brother, Frankie Chapman. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, David Bozeman of Portland; three daughters, Pam Hackett and husband, Dave, of Dermott; Guylene Hand of Conway and Davinia Martin and husband, Wilbur, of Portland; two brothers, Kenneth Smith of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Riley Howard Smith of Texas; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services are 2 p.m., Thursday at the Portland Baptist Church with burial in the Portland Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.
