Betty Sue Storey Martin, 81, of Sherwood passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013. She was born January 24, 1932 to the late Floyd H. and Ruby Ethel Duren Storey in Benton, Ark. She was a member of first Baptist Church Sherwood. She was a loving individual who will be missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Gerald of 61 years; two daughters, Sheree (Jon) Saye and Linda (Billy) Wurzberger; both of Shreveport, La.; two sons, Mike Martin and Scott Martin; both of Sherwood. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and her sister, Jane Robinson of Little Rock. Betty earned her bachelor's degree from Northwestern State University and her master's degree from Louisiana State University. She began her teaching career in Shreveport and later taught in Conroe, Texas. After returning to Arkansas she opened A Plus Teaching Supplies in Sherwood in 1982 where she operated it for 20 years. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Friday, February 22, 2013 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Ark. 72116 with Dr. Richard Lee and Reverend Paul McClung officiating. Entombment will follow at Rest Hills Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, February 21, at the funeral home. The family wishes to thank the staff at Premire Health and Rehab Center and Arkansas Hospice for the care they gave Mrs. Betty Sue Martin.
