Delbert Winfield Eavenson

Delbert Winfield Eavenson, 93, of Little Rock, went home to be face to face with his Lord, as well as friends and family who had gone before him on Friday, February 22, 2013. He was born on Friday, July 25, 1919 in Morgantown, West Virginia, to the late Steve and Mary (Drummond) Eavenson. Delbert served in the United States Army during WWII, from December 2, 1942 to December 29, 1945. He received several military recognitions: Victory Medal, Asiatic- Pacific Theater Ribbon, Philippine Liberation Ribbon and the Good Conduct Medal. He was a member of Rosedale Baptist Church in Little Rock, AR for more than forty years. He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Nina, his parents, sister, Evelyn Nolf, and brothers, Henny, Charlie, Don and Steve (Lefty). Funeral service will be at 10:00 am, Monday, February 25, 2013 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
