Esther O'Neal Lindsey

Esther O'Neal Lindsey, age 92, of Stamps, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2013, at St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana. Mrs. Lindsey was born December 4, 1920, in Columbia County, Arkansas, to Joseph Cleveland and Myrtie Caswell O'Neal. She was a loving daughter, friend, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Lindsey was a member of The First United Methodist Church in Stamps, Ark., a past member of the Order of the Easter Star and La Societe de la Femme, and retired from Western Auto. Mrs. Lindsey was preceded in death by her husband, Byron Lindsey, and daughter, Karen Nipper. She is survived by one son, Kent Lindsey and wife, Lise of Atlanta, Ga.; son-in-law, David Nipper of Benton, La.; grandchildren, Karah Lindsey of Atlanta, Ga.; Jarrod Nipper and wife, Lacy; and Zane Nipper and fiancée, Rachael all of the Shreveport-Bossier area; great-grandchildren, Skylar, Kennedy, McKenzie and Teddy also of the Shreveport-Bossier area; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, Ark., with Rev. Mark Rivers officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Stamps, Ark. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2013, at the Smith Funeral Home in Stamps.
