Mary Ann Keith

Mary Ann Keith, 89, of Little Rock, died, fortified by the sacraments, on Monday, February 25, 2013, at Hospice Home Care. She retired from the Arkansas Democrat Gazette after many years of service. She was also a nurse, graduating from St. Vincent's School of Nursing and Mt. St. Mary Academy. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Johanna Keith, two siblings, Thomas Werner Keith and Joan Keith (Sister Mary Werner Keith), and her dear friend, Dee Tisdale. She is survived by a beloved brother, John Joseph Keith of Searcy; three sisters, Cele Keith Cook of Natchitoches, Louisiana; Sue Keith Wrape of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; and Sister Judith Marie Keith of Fort Smith, Arkansas; numerous nieces and nephews, two of whom were very special, Sharon Keith, M.D. and Rita Keith Allbright, M.D. Mary loved her two dogs Bubba and Frisky. Her special friends included Vanessa Hernsberger and her caregivers, Fanny Rivas and Candice Cole. Rosary service will be held at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth at 7 p.m. on Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Fr. Warren Harvey as Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Keith Scholarship Fund at Mt. St. Mary Academy, 3224 Kavanagh Blvd., Little Rock, Ark. 72205.
