Cleatus Crawford

Cleatus Crawford, 84, of Maynard, AR, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013, in Collierville, Tenn. A Navy veteran, Mr. Crawford was retired from Armour and Co. where he was past president of Meat Cutters Union Local 566 in Peoria, Ill. He later retired from Alan Richie Trucking. He was born December 14, 1928, in Dalton, Ark. to the late Charles and Lura Crawford. Mr. Crawford was also preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters, and a grandson, Scott MacIntosh. Mr. Crawford leaves behind his wife of 58 years, Nancy Jo Murphy Crawford of the home; four daughters and their husbands: Nancy (Gary) Pugh of Pocahontas, Ark., Connie (Rusty) Koonce of White House, Tenn., Carol (Frank) MacIntosh of Collierville, Tenn. and Cathy (Greg) Jarrett of Cabot, Ark.; four grandchildren: Lynn Patterson of Birmingham, Ala., Justin Patterson of Pocahontas, Austin Jarrett of Cabot, and Daniel MacIntosh of Knoxville, Tenn.; three sisters: Lena Bell and Lucille Doran of Pocahontas and Bea Cottingham of Peoria, lll.; two brothers, A.C. Crawford of Las Vegas, Nev., and Eunice Crawford of Doe Run, Mo., and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends who were special in his life. A celebration of Life Gathering for friends and family to share memories will be Saturday afternoon, March 2, from 1-4 p.m. at the Crawford residence in Maynard. Burial will be private.
