David Nicholson

David Nicholson, 91, of Little Rock, died December 28, 2012. David was Professor Emeritus, retired, from the UAMS. He was born September 18, 1921 in Mineola, New York. He is survived by his wife Ann Nicholson of Little Rock, Arkansas, son, Niall Nicholson, and daughter, Dido Nicholson Green. David was British. He received his training at Guy's Hospital and Brompton Hospital, London. Medical degrees; FRCP (Lond) MD; MRCP. Emigrated to Canada in 1958, immigrating to United States in 1962 joining the faculty at Southwestern Medical School, Dallas, Texas from 1963-1972. He moved to the University of Kentucky in Lexington and then Dayton, Ohio where served as consultant creating a committee at Wright State Medical School. He joined the UAMS faculty in 1978-1996. He was a consultant with AHEC until 2010. Other arrangements are pending. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to a favorite charity.
