Donna Sue Adams

Donna Sue Hinds Adams, age 69, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away Friday, January 4th, 2013. Donna was born December 4, 1943 in Guymon, Oklahoma, the daughter of Earl and Pearl Hinds. Donna was a member of the North Pulaski United Methodist Church and a long-time member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha, a nonprofit service organization. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. Everyone who knew her loved her great sense of humor and her positive attitude and sunny outlook on life. She had a warm and caring personality and was known to many as "Momma Donna." She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time in the garden and traveling. Donna was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Alvin Adams, and by her parents. She is survived by her sister Earlene Perkins and husband Gary of Van Wert, Ohio; brother Allan Adams and wife Dianne of Albuquerque, New Mexico; son David Allan Adams and wife Valerie of Lakewood, Washington; daughter Edie Anne Adams and husband Peter Gonick, of Olympia, Washington; grandchildren Jeremy Scott Adams, Jonathan Allan Adams, Elena Adams Gonick, and Evan Adams Gonick; and two brothers-in law, James Adams and wife Lois of Kemp, Texas, and Leon Adams and wife Shelba of Thornton, Arkansas. Donna also leaves many friends and other family who loved her and will miss her, including her dear neighbors Rex and Wanda Thomen and their children Randi and Conner. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Griffin Leggett-Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock (501) 835-3515, with Rev.
