Bobby J.D. Ricks, 74, of Carlisle, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2013. He was born on May 30, 1938. Bobby is survived by his wife of 54 years, Glenda Parks Ricks; children Cindy Ricks Orton (Leo), Tammi Ricks Corley (Mike) and Craig Ricks (Pam); grandchildren, Miranda Schenebeck, Mica Corley Kianetski (Bobby), Megan Corley, Tyler Schenebeck (Alison) and Britney Spencer; and great-granddaughter Piper Schenebeck. He is also survived by siblings Margie Ricks Morgan, Pat Ricks Kerr (Wayne), Barbara Ricks Phillips (Joey), Larry Ricks and Terry Ricks Ballard (Wayne). He is preceded in death by parents, Drewie and Nina Ricks, sister Hazel Ricks Lowe and great-grandson Caden Ingle. After marrying Glenda, Bobby was in the Army for three years. He was in the bulk fuel and oil distribution business for several years before going into farming. Bobby loved spending his time with his family, and his favorite pastime was hunting. He also loved his animals. He attended the Carlisle Pentecostal Church of God, and was a member of Hebron Methodist Church of Carlisle. He was loved by all his family and friends for his gentleness and easy going nature. He will be greatly missed but we know by his confession of faith that we will see him again in heaven one day. The family would like to thank the staff of Arkansas Hospice for all they did in this transition, and special thanks to his nurse, Jennifer.
