Daphne Lea Wood

Daphne Lea Wood, age 85, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock. She was born May 28, 1927 in Willow, Ark. the daughter of the late Jesse and Maggie Kitchen Reynolds. Daphne was a homemaker, a member of Third Street Baptist Church and attended Henderson Methodist Church in Little Rock. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Doyle Lea, her second husband, Marshall Wood, one son, Doyle Wayne Lea, and seven sisters. Daphne is survived by one daughter, Fonda Courtney (Richard) Ayers of Little Rock, one son, Bo (Brenda) Lea of Glenwood, one step son, Leslie (Carolyn) Wood of Arkadelphia, daughter in law, Sue Lea of Conway, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at Welch Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Frase officiating. Interment will be in Delamar Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time on Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Steve Lewis, Brad Farmer, Brantley Jarrell, Jonathan Mariner, Hunter Newberry and Michael Babb.
