Mrs. Geraldine Vaughan Mills, 81, of Crossett, died Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at the Ashley County Medical Center in Crossett. Mrs. Mills was a native of Nevada, Texas and a resident of Crossett for the past 50 years. She was an active member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church and loved her church. She was a fantastic cook; loved to fish and enjoyed camping, and loved spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, James Money & Thelma Hargraves Vaughan; a brother, Max Vaughan and a great-grandson, Brady Dye. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jimmy Mills; a son, David Mills and wife, Janet, and a daughter, Cheryl Montgomery and husband, Terry, all of Crossett; three grandchildren, Brandy Dye and husband, B.J., Josh Parrott and wife, Crissy, and Tyler Mills; four great-grandchildren, Bodie Parrott, Brynlee Dye and Braylie Dye. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Thursday at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Eric Hodge and Rev. David Tohlen officiating. Burial will be in Pinewood Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 1533 HWY 52 West, Crossett, Ark 71635. Visitation will be 1 hour before the service Thursday at the church.
