Nancy Rogers Silfies, 55, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013 in Little Rock. She was born in Benton, Arkansas on November 29, 1957 to John and the late Jimmie Lee Rogers. Nancy graduated from Benton HIgh School and earned a Bachelors and Masters Degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She was a teacher in the Bryant School District for about 10 years. She chose to retire upon the birth of her children to focus on her family. She was of the Baptist faith. Nancy remained optimistic and fought a courageous, five year battle with cancer. Mimi as she was lovingly called will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of over 25 years, Scott; her son ,Bradley and his wife Beth and her precious grandson Aiden; her son, Jeremy, all of Little Rock; her father and stepmother, John and Dorothy Rogers of Benton; her brothers, Rick and his wife Susan of Garland, Texas, Alan and his wife Eldean and Neil of Benton; her step-sister, Carol and her husband Brent Wear of Benton; her father and mother-in-law, Elwood and Dianne Silfies and her sister-in-law, Lisa and her husband Eric Sankovsky of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; her nieces and nephews, John and his wife Erin and their daughter Grace, Rebecca, Whitney, Lindsay, Jake and Casey and a host of extended family and friends, all who will miss her dearly. Funeral services will be on Thursday, January 17th, 2013 at 1 p.m. in the chapel at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home with Reverend Rick Grant officiating. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 16th, at the funeral home.
