John "Johnny" Edward Scott

John "Johnny" Edward Scott, 80, of Clarendon passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013. The son of John and Carrie Humble Scott, he was born October 30, 1932 in Roe. Johnny was married 57 years to Joyce McGee Scott and they had two children; Tami Gaye and K. Eddie Scott. They co-owned and operated Scott's Garage and Auto Parts, Inc. and Scott's Wrecker Service in Clarendon until retiring in 1998. He was a long time member of the Clarendon First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Scott of Clarendon; his son, Eddie Scott and wife, Jackie of Stuttgart; two grandchildren, Leah (Hunter) Carter and Kelsey Jessup both of Stuttgart and four great-grandchildren, Finley, Carter, and Maddox Beckett and Bella Kate Jessup all of Stuttgart. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Shady Grove Cemetery in Clarendon with Bro. Joe Loncar officiating. In lieu of flowers or food, the family requests that memorials be sent to: Shady Grove Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 194 Clarendon, Ark. 72029.
