Hazel Alene Pennington

Hazel Alene Pennington, 99, of Mabelvale went to be with the Lord on January 21, 2013. She was born on August 25, 2013 in Fordyce, Arkansas to Stewart and Alma Atwood. Hazel was first and foremost a loving mother. She loved quilting, handwork and antiquing. Hazel was a member of The First Missionary Baptist Church of Mabelvale. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Graydon Pennington, her son; Phillip Pennington and her grandson; Craig Parker. She is survived by three daughters; Betty Jones (David) of Bryant, Joyce Batchlor of Mabelvale, and Judy Parker (Lewis) of Benton, five grandchildren; Rhonda Goheen, Randy Jones, Bradley Batchlor, Lori Settle, and Todd Parker, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 24, 2013 in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy. 5 N., Alexander, Arkansas. Dr. Robert Ashcraft will officiate.
