Helen Lucille (Tynse) Bassett

Helen Lucille (Tynse) Bassett, 93 of Walnut Ridge passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013. Born October 24, 1919 in Wilson, daughter of Robert Dent and Hazel Followwill Moore. She was a retired bookkeeper and bank teller and member of the Walnut Ridge First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women's Club and Garden Club. She was united in marriage to Jerry Bassett August 11, 1949 who preceded her in death April 26, 2001. She was also preceded by her parents, Robert Dent Moore and Hazel Followwill Moore, a son, William Michael Bassett, a sister, Juanita Moore Allen and a brother, Robert D. (Bud) Moore Jr. Survivors include, two sons, Jerry Dudley Bassett of Jonesboro and Richard Barry Bassett of Little Rock; three sisters, Alyce (Tootsie) Binzer (Bob) of Madison, Indiana, Jimmye Moore Long of Mertzon, Texas and Jeannie Moore Smith of Hoxie; two grandsons, Tanner Dudley Bassett (Sarah) of Springdale and Brett Michael Bassett of Little Rock; two great-granddaughters, Ella Marie Bassett and Grace Helen Bassett both of Springdale; a daughter-in-law, Gari Lyn Bassett of Little Rock and many other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 1: p.m. in the Bryan Chapel with Rev. Steve Cook officiating. Active pallbearers will be, Grant Smith, Jim Binzer, Billy Long, Danny Gibson, Ray Moseley, John Bland, Greg Evans and Andy Allen. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Allen Smith, Bob Binzer, John Allen, Tom Allen and Robert Tims. Interment will be in the Lawrence Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5 till 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 66, Walnut Ridge, Ark. 72476.
