Elmer Ray Bunker

Elmer Ray Bunker, 65 of Bee Branch, formerly of Higginson passed away at home January 24, 2013. He was born February 21, 1947 in Brasfield, Arkansas to the late Luther and Jessie Mashburn Bunker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, James "J.L." Luther Bunker; three sisters, Margie Gertrude Bunker, Margaret Janette Bunker, Sara Jane Bunker; niece, Mary Frances Cherry; two nephews, Joe Harold Cherry and Timothy Hughes. Survivors include his wife, Dottie Forrester Bunker of the home; three sons, Dewayne Bunker (Melissa) of Heber Springs, Donald Bunker (Janice) of Kensett, and Adam Bunker (Bethany) of Beebe; first wife and mother of his children Nancy Menton Bunker of Kensett; stepson, Josh Watts; stepdaughter, Toshia Watts; one grandson, Reese Bunker; two granddaughters, Alexandria Bunker and Kayla Bunker; four step granddaughters, Tiffany Willis, Kelsey Willis, Justine Watts, and Tori Watts; two brothers, Dallas Bunker (Mary) of Cabot and Clee Bunker (Chuchi) of Belleville, Ill.; three sisters, Mildred Cherry and Myrtle Hughes of Higginson, Eunice Hansell (Harold) of Searcy; and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, January 26, at the Higginson First Baptist Church. Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home has been entrusted with local arrangements.
