Charles Edward (Chuck) Matthews

Charles Edward (Chuck) Matthews, age 49, of Benton, passed away Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013. He was born May 17, 1963 in Dallas, Texas. Chuck was a D.J. and an I.T. Specialist. He was preceded in death by his father, Carroll Matthews and grandparents, Phyllis and Charlie Grimes and Charles Murphy Stockton. He is survived by his mother, Sasha Stockton; grandmother, Eunice Stockton; two daughters, Jennifer and Christa Matthews; grandson, Brayden Brown; three sisters, Theresa Matthews Bolen, Malena Smith and Nena Crist and a host of family and friends. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, at Ashby Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, at Ashby Funeral Home with burial at New Rosemont Cemetery. Bro. Kim Hammer will be officiating. Family comments: Chuck enjoyed spending time with people and learning about their lives.
