Forrest Hibbard Pollard

Forrest H. Pollard, 84, of North Little Rock passed away Tuesday. January 29, 2013. He was born May 30, 1928 in Benton, AR to the late Emmett Issac and Lola Grace Pollard. Forrest was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of fifty-three years, Frances Pollard; brother, Emmett I Pollard, Jr. His family moved to Little Rock, in the summer of 1937 from Traskwood, AR. He graduated from Little Rock Senior High School in 1946. He also graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1951. Forrest served in U. S. Army 1951-1953, and was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research society of North America, Population Association of America and The American Statistical Association. He was an active member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church of North Little Rock for forty years. He was awarded the doctor of Philosophy Degree in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas in the spring of 1965. He retired from the University of Arkansas System in 1994 following 32 years of service. A year at University of Arkansas, Monticello; 20 years at the Industrial Research and Extension Center, University of Arkansas, at Little Rock and 11 years at the University of Arkansas, Little Rock He is survived by two adult children, David Forrest Pollard and Ann Elizabeth Pollard; two grandsons, Forrest Colin Larkowski and Trevor Morgan Larkowski; his sister, Jeannette Pollard; sister-in-law, Patsy Pollard and a host of friends. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m., Friday, February 1, 2013 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 4106 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Ark. 72116. A reception will follow the service.
