Bobby E. Mooney, 74, of Heber Springs, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013, at his home. Born in Hot Springs on January 29, 1939, he was the son of the late Howard Bryant and Vyceil (Pendergrass) Mooney, and he was raised by his Uncle Joe and Aunt Lyda Sovada and his Aunt Sue Vance. Mr. Mooney retired from the 16th Judicial Court District as a probation officer, and he served as Justice of the Peace for District 7 of Cleburne County. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Mooney was also a Heber Springs business owner, a 32nd Degree Mason, and attended the First United Methodist Church of Heber Springs. In his early years, Mr. Mooney raced sprint cars and motorcycles and also loved restoring antique cars and trucks with his son Jamey. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and was a member of the Arkansas Vintage Scooters and Blue Knights Chapter 6. Survivors include his wife, Lynn Dee Brewer Mooney of Heber Springs; sons, Jamey (Daylean) Mooney of Heber Springs and Ronnie (Debi) Mooney of Sheridan; daughter, Tonya (Todd) Neal of Alexander; brother, Howard (Brydie) Mooney of Hot Springs; sister, Georgia (Jerry) Havens of North Little Rock; seven grandchildren, Amiee, Jessica, Dustin, and Joe Mooney, and Tracy, Taylor, and Tanner Neal; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 2, at Olmstead Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. A memorial service will be Wednesday, July 3, at First United Methodist Church of Heber Springs at 11 a.m., officiated by Rev.
