JANET LEE PARMER, 59, of Little Rock, passed away on May 18, 2013. She was born March 25, 1954 to the late Jack and Maxine Parmer in San Antonio, Texas. Janet was married to an Arkansas native in the 1980's and moved to Little Rock, which she regarded as her home. Janet was a co-founder and manager of the renowned Juanita's Cantina Ballroom in its heyday and Loca Luna Restaurant. She was known for her unique tastes in Mexican folk art, jewelry, and music, especially Jazz. She had a life-long passion for reading and beautiful places. Janet was gutsy, strong and fun. Her survivors included her son, Jack Abernathy; her former husband and his wife, Mark and Lyne Abernathy; and her beloved "Mom", Charlotte Abernathy. She will also be remembered by the countless friends and loved ones she has impacted throughout the years. Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of Janet's life which will be held July 13, 2013, beginning 11 a.m. at Loca Luna Restaurant, Little Rock.
