Richard Benjamin Phillips

Richard Benjamin "Ben" Phillips, 75, of Rockport, was born in Perla, Arkansas on October 31, 1937, passed away on July 7, 2013. He joined the Air Force in 1956. On March 29, 1958, he married Beverly Efird. Ben was a journeyman lineman by trade. Ben considered his greatest work to be a servant of the Lord. He was member of the Church of Christ, serving as a deacon and elder. Ben is preceded in death by his parents, William Buckley Phillips and Gracie (Kuykendall); and a brother, Burl Phillips. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Beverly Phillips; children, Kevin (Cathy) Phillips, Shane Phillips, Becky (Donnie) Harris, Rowan (Traci) Phillips; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at 2-3 July 9 at North Main Church of Christ in Malvern. Funeral services will begin at 3pm, officiated by Joel Harris and Mark Mosher. www.arkansasfuneralcare.com.
