Charles Maher

Charles Albert Maher, 86, of North Little Rock, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013. He was of the Catholic Faith, served in the United States Marine Corp and was retired from the North Little Rock School District. He is survived by six children, Charles Maher, Debbie Heffentrager (Bruce), Cindy McNiel, Robert Maher, James "Jimmy" Maher (Stefani) and Karen Ivy (Steve); sister, Margaret Burns; host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Albert and Mary Emma Kaufman Maher; wife, Joan Marie Maher; two grandsons, Tanner and Ryder Edwards. Memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice, 14 Parkstone Circle, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72116. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Edgewood Memorial Park.
