Clyde Yates Drinkwater

Clyde Yates Drinkwater, formerly of Cammack Village, passed away in Conway, Ark., at the age of 90 on Sunday, July 14, 2013, surrounded by his family. He was born to Raymond and Edna Yates Drinkwater in Little Rock on March 13, 1923. On August 23, 1942, he married Juanita Jackson, who died in December 2006 after 64 years of marriage. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Ann Drinkwater of Sylvan Hills and their family; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Carole Drinkwater; grandson Drew and his wife, Mysti and great-grandchildren, Jordanne, Benjamin and Zella Drinkwater, all of Conway. He was also preceded in death by his brother James, who died at sea on November 9, 1944, in service to his country; his parents; and his niece LeeAnn. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, fishing, and especially duck hunting. After retirement from the Arkansas Employment Security Division in 1988, he enjoyed traveling with Juanita plus many great friends and family; as well as lovingly serving their church home, Trinity Assembly of God. He was a student of God's Word, a thoughtful and generous man who will be remembered with love and admiration. The family appreciates the love of those who ministered to Clyde's needs, especially during the past three years. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, at Trinity Assembly of God, 11120 Cantrell Road, Little Rock. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
