Robert Champ "Bob" De Armond, age 79, of Conroe, Texas, formerly of Warren, Ark. died Saturday, July 13th at the Conroe Regional Medical Center in Conroe, Texas after of long battle with lung disease. He was born December 6th, 1933 in Bradley County Arkansas a son of the late Levi Harris De Armond and Lottie Grubbs De Armond. He was a graduate of Monticello A&M college, a United States Korean War Veteran. While going to college Bob worked for Potlatch in the Woods office doing accounting and later he worked for Burks Corp. Crossett, Ark. While living in Conroe, he worked and retired from the water department in 1998 and he was a member of Corinth Baptist Church in Bradley County Arkansas. Also preceding him in death were brothers, Garner De Armond, Dale De Armond and Carlyle "Bill" De Armond; a sister, Earlene De Armond Jordan and two nephews, Eugene "Sonny" Jordan and Kenny Jordan. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Myra Chadwick De Armond; two sons, Mark De Armond, Warren, Ark. and Steve De Armond and spouse Wendy, Conroe, Texas; five grandchildren, Levi Robert De Armond, Conroe, Texas, Stevie De Armond, Conroe, Texas, Leah De Armond, Jade De Armond and Mary Grace De Armond all of Warren, Ark.; a great-granddaughter, MaKailynn Broughton, Warren, Ark.; a niece, Alice Johnson Jordan, a great-nephew, Johnn Jordan and two great-nieces, Genia Jordan Crouch and spouse David, Monticello, Ark. and Kimberly Jordan, Lake Village, Ark.; one great-great-nephew, J.J. Jordan and wife Candace and one great-great-great-nephew, Aiden Jordan, Monticello, Ark. and numerous cousins. Funeral services 10 a.m. Thursday, July 18th at Frazer's Chapel. Burial in Beulah Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Visitation: 9 a.m. till service time Thursday at Frazer's Funeral Home. Memorials preferred The Corinth Baptist Church.
