Raymond Earl Batie, 86, of LIttle Rock passed away on July 16th, 2013. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on the 23rd of April, 1927. He served in the Navy during World War II. He retired from Nabisco Brands after over 30 years of service. Raymond was a member of the Teamster Local 878 and supported the Sheriff Boys and Girls Ranch. He enjoyed working in the flower garden and spending time outside. He treasured the time he spent with his family, especially his children, grandchildren and his great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vada, his parents William and Doris Batie and his sister Winnie Kemp. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Jimmie; his son Michael (Nancy); his daughters Becky (Marv) Thomas and Mona (Ralph) Koehler; his grandchildren Mary (Dax), Sarah, Carrie, Adam, Katie and Anna; his great-grandchild Higgins and a host of extended family and friends, all who will miss him dearly. Funeral services will be on Friday, July 19 at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home with burial following in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
