Laura Sanders Lyons

Laura Barnett Sanders Lyons, 54, of Pine Bluff, died Saturday, July 20, 2013. She was born February 2, 1959 in Stuttgart, Arkansas, daughter of Wilford "Heavy" Barnett, Sr. and Laura Jean Brewer Foster. Mrs. Lyons was reared and received her early education in Stuttgart, graduating from Stuttgart High School. When her children were young, she was very active in the PTA at Sulphur Springs Elementary School. She also loved fishing, boating and yard work. Laura also enjoyed visiting with friends and family. She started her career at Riceland Foods in Stuttgart. Laura later worked for Ramsay, Bridgforth, Robinson and Raley LLP and Washington Group at Pine Bluff Arsenal. She was preceded in death by her father and sister, Susan Garman. Survivors include her husband, Tony Lyons of Crossett; daughter, Jessica Sanders of Pine Bluff; son, Chad Sanders of Pine Bluff; mother, Laura Foster of White Hall; sister, Beverly Adcox of Bryant; two brothers, Bobby Barnett and Wilford Barnett, Jr., both of Stuttgart; and two grandchildren, Jada Sanders and Chad Sanders Jr. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, July 25, 2013 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverend Don Lee Ruffin officiating.
