Donald Berner Sundby

Donald Berner Sundby, 86 of Alexander, died Monday, July 22, 2013. Donald was born April 28, 1927 in Fox, Michigan to the late Hangerup and Olea (Olsen) Sundby. He is also preceded in death by Judron, Valburg, Ruth Lyder, Esther, Erling, Sigurd, and Lilly. Don (PaPa) was a fun loving, easy going, strong compassionate man. His loving cheerful smile would light up the room as he made everyone he met feel important. His faith and family were the most important thing in his life and would do anything he could for his children and grandchildren. He was an avid Chef by trade but also enjoyed honing his skills as wood worker, gardener and artist. He is survived by children Don Sundby Jr. (Bonnie), Kim Bergmanis (Bob), Tim Sundby, Eric Sundby, Sr. (Jocelyn), and Donna Rooke (Todd); sister, Borghild Nelsosn; grandchildren, Luke & Holly Larson and their son Anthony, Brody Bergmanis, Nicholas Sundby, Eric Jr., Dedric, & Alec Sundby, Megan, Mya, Oliver, and Landon Rooke; and close friends Bob and Carol Eick. We love you PaPa Don and hope you are enjoying your reunion in Heaven- We will be missing you until we meet again.
