Harry Walker Scott, Jr., age 64, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away at home on Sunday, July 21, 2013. Born in Lexington, Kentucky, on July 3, 1949, he was the son of the late Harry Walker Scott, Sr. and Loretta Baker Scott. Mr. Scott was the past president/owner of Thompson Industries and a former resident of Dardanelle. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the military police from 1968-1969 while stationed in Germany. Mr. Scott was a member of the University of Kentucky Alumni Association and the Railroad Tie Association. He is survived by his wife, Cecila Cody Scott of Heber Springs; one son, Harry Walker Scott, IV; one daughter, Brigette Scott Jett and her husband, Kevin; one step-daughter, Jennifer Harrison and her husband, Jeff; one brother, Bill Scott and his wife, Beverly; three grandchildren, Hayden Stanfield, Autumn Jett, and Chloe Jett; two step-grandchildren, Zack Boles and Cole Harrison; two nephews, Bryan Scott and Brandon Scott; two nieces, Stacie Scott Smith and Kassie Boots; one grandnephew, Caden Matthews; and two grandnieces, Morgan Wosley and Ella Matthews. Mr. Scott is also survived by other relatives and his many friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 25, at 1 p.m. in the Olmstead Chapel with memorial services beginning at 2 p.m. officiated by Rev. Tommy Toombs.
