Minnie Elizabeth Wingo

Minnie Elizabeth Simpson Wingo, 85, of Greenville, Miss., and formerly of Eudora, Ark. passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, La. She was born on May 27, 1928 to the late James L. and Nona Haley Jennings in Lula, Miss. Mrs. Wingo loved to cook. Her favorite things to cook were Mexican cornbread and peach dumplings. She also loved work word search puzzles. Mrs. Wingo loved her family and Eudora Baptist Church. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands; Modell Simpson, Matt Dawson, and James Wingo; daughter Julie Simpson; sister Mary Ann Barnes and stepmother Elizabeth Jennings. Mrs. Wingo is survived by a son Bill Simpson (Terri) of Bastrop, La.; daughters, Lesia Fournier (BJ) of Breau Bridge, La. and Nona Spears (Jim) of Ozark, Mo.; step-children, Janet Fabick of Greenville, Miss., Lisa White of Lafayette, La. and Jimmy Wingo of Georgia; brothers Doug Jennings of Oak Grove, La. and James Jennings of Pine Bluff, Ark.; sisters, Frankie Crabtree (Hendrix) of Eudora, Ark., Recy Reeves (Richard) of Springdale, Ark., Linda Hill (Hawk) of Kilbourne, La., Jo Anna Faircloth (Jimmy) of Eudora, Ark. and Donnie Hust of Kilbourne, La., seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Eudora Baptist Church. Funeral Service will be at Eudora Baptist Church at 11am with Rev. Jeff Tarver officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Eudora. Pallbearers: Vance Costello, Adam Costello, Kevin Rinehart, Drew Simpson, Kyle Hill, Ryan Hill, Bob Brown, Jimmy Spears, Michael Reeves, Clay Reeves, and Cole Norris.
