William A. Hough, 66, of Woodbine, Ga., passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Southeast Georgia Health Systems, Camden Campus in St. Marys, Ga. Mr. Hough graduated with a law degree from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville in 1972 and was a member of Alpha Kappa Lambda fraternity. He worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as District Counsel of the Savannah District from 1987 to 2004. While serving in Savannah, he was recognized for numerous projects including the Richard B. Russell Pumpback Storage and Land Mi­tigation, the Savannah Harbor Expansion Project, and the Brunswick Harbor Project. He received both the Meritorious and the Superior Civilian Service Awards. Most recently, he was inducted into the 2012 Gallery of Distinguished Civilian Employees. Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Hough of Woodbine, GA; mother, Willeen Miller Hough of Little Rock, Ark.; sons, Darren Hough and fiancee' Kristin Nordby of Atlanta, Ga., and Kevin Hough and wife, Rachel of Alpharetta, Ga.; brother, Dr. Aubrey J. Hough Jr. of Little Rock, Ark.; grandson, Erik Arthur Hough. He was preceded in death by his father, Aubrey J. Hough. Funeral services with entombment will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Savannah, Ga. Honorary Pallbearers: members of the South Atlantic Division of the United States Army Corp of Engineers, Robert Unger, Terry Kelley, Newton Klements, Bill Woodard, Clyde Wilson, Barry Harding, Chris Thomas, and T.J. Deeter. The family requests memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Hough, be made to the Humane Society of Camden County, 950 S. Grove Blvd., Kingsland, Ga. 31548. Allison Memorial Chapel of St. Marys, Ga., is in charge of arrangements.
