Jesse Davis Jr.

Jesse Davis Jr. 85, departed his earthly life July 26, 2013. He was a two time war veteran in the Navy and the Army in WW II and the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Willie Mae Bozeman Davis. He leaves to cherish his memories, three daughters; Jacquelyn Palmer, Janice Pettigrew and Deborah (Bobby) Mason; three sons; Marcus (Vera) Davis, Bryant (Sandra) Davis and Theodore (Nancy) Davis; 19 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Geneva Davis of Kenosha, Wis., Lillie Mae Tolbert, Elizabeth Davis and Alleanor Upshaw all of Little Rock, Ark.; one brother, James Davis of Kenosha, Wis. and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday, August 2, 2013 from 6 til 7 p.m. and the Homegoing celebration will be Saturday, August 3, 11 a.m. at New Hebron Baptist Church, 7615 Woodson Rd., Little Rock, Ark. with both services at the church. Burial with military honors will be Monday, August 5, 10 a.m. at Arkansas State Veteran Cemetery in North Little Rock, Ark. Services under the direction of Premier Funeral Home, 1518 S.
