Marguerite Rosa Besancon

MARGUERITE ROSA BESANCON, age 99, of Little Rock passed peacefully through the gates of heaven on May 31, 2013. Born Feb. 23, 1914 in Little Rock, she was a 1932 graduate of Little Rock Senior High and of Lutheran faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosa and Eugene Besancon; sister, Clara Besancon; brothers, Charles, Raymond, and Eugene Jr. Besancon; and great-niece, Sara Besancon. She is survived by brothers, Herman Besancon of Killeen, Texas and Edwin (Pearl) Besancon of Madison, Tenn.; sister-in-law, Melba Besancon of Little Rock; and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. She worked for the FBI in Washington D.C. and the State of Texas, then established a career as an excellent colorist at Kings Photo Studio in Killeen, Texas before moving back to Little Rock. She was a member of the Killeen Civic Art Guild and a long time member of the Eastern Star for many years in Killeen and Little Rock. She attended weekly exercise classes until age 90.
