Ramiro "Ray" Valdez Jr.

Ramiro "Ray" Valdez Jr., 64, of Little Rock went to be with his Lord on June 8, 2013 with his family by his side. Ray loved fishing, playing dominos and working in his workshop, where he was always very happy and at peace when he was being creative. Friends said he always had a smile on his face and they loved to listen to him sing. He was known as the candy man at his church. Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Ramiro Sr. and Juanita Valdez; grandparents and his niece, Tracy Lynne Fisher. He is survived by his sisters, Mary Alice, Emily Sanchez, Delores Fulkenback, Elida King, Juliet Metheny, Linda Fisher, Matilda Valdez and Elizabeth Love; brother, Hosea Valdez and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, friends and church family who all love him and will miss him dearly. A celebration of Ray's life will be held on Friday, June 14, 2013 at 11 a.m. at First Gospel Church, 8101 Colonel Glenn Rd. in Little Rock. Visitation will be Thursday, June 13, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant 501-847-9099. Family visitation will be held from 5-6 p.m.at the funeral home.
