Shirley St. John Meggs

Shirley St. John Meggs, age 75, of Warren, Ark. died Tuesday June 11th at The Good Sheppard rehabilitation and nursing center in Little Rock, Ark. She was born June 28th, 1937 a daughter of the late Erbie St. John and Ora Belle Shirron St. John. She was a retired employee of First State Bank with her career starting with the bank in 1968 spanning over 40 years of service. She was a graduate of the Warren Public Schools and also from the Draughn School of Business in Little Rock. Teacher of Faith Sunday School Class and member of Immanuel Baptist Church from 1980 to present. She attended, played and ministered music for 18 years at the Hermitage Baptist Church. She loved and enjoyed the people she worked with and at her church. She is also preceded in death by a sister, Betty St. John. Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca Harris and spouse Mike, Little Rock, Ark.. two brothers, James St. John and spouse Audrey, New Bern, S.C. and Jerry St. John and spouse Erkle, Columbia, S.C.; two grandsons, Michael Harris and Alex Harris both of Little Rock, Ark.; three nephews, Paul St. John and David St. John of Columbia, .S.C; Jerry Michael St. John, Washington DC. Funeral services 2 p.m. Monday, June 17th at Immanuel Baptist Church. Burial in Saline Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Visitation 12:30pm till service time on Monday June 17th at Immanuel Baptist Church. Memorials preferred The Faith Sunday School Class at Immanuel Baptist Church.
