Marjorie "Marge" Van Egmond

Marjorie "Marge" Van Egmond, died Friday, May 31, 2013 in Arlington, Va. Born in Holland, Mich. in 1922, she is the wife of the late Dr. Elmer Van Egmond. The pair moved to Little Rock in the 80's and then retired there where Mrs. Van Egmond and her husband were very involved at Second Presbyterian Church. She was a deacon, served as President of the Presbyterian Women and was active in mission work and Pastoral Care. Marge was also a Master Gardener and Past President of Greater Little Rock Council of Garden Clubs. After her husband's death in 1996, she moved to be with her adult children in the Washington, D.C. area. Mrs. Van Egmond is survived by her children, Alan Van Egmond of Potomac, Md., Tim Van Egmond of Montague, Mass. and Coralee Van Egmond of Arlington, Va.; her brother, Kenneth Steketee; five grandchildren and three great-grandsons. A memorial service will be held at Potomac Presbyterian Church, 10301 River Road, Potomac, Md. 20854 on Saturday, July 6 at 10 a.m. Private burial will occur at Pilgrim Home Cemetery in Holland, Mich. at a later date.
