Nick Adams

Nick Adams, age 94, was born September 5, 1918 in San Diego, Calif. to Adam Nick and Bertha (Silva) Adams. He passed away after a short illness June 15, 2013. He is preceded in death by his wife Katherine Adams (2000), parents, and two brothers. He is survived by one brother Gus Adams and wife Betty, three sisters Mari Medley, Evangaline Funk, and Helen Porter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; special nieces Julie and Darcie, great-nieces Jamie, Micah, Eva Marie, and friend Pam Terry. Also, a special thanks to Tony and Beverly Buffet, Gus, Betty and Darcie for the wonderful end of life care which they provided Nick. Nick was an Independent truck driver most of his life. He served in the Army during WWII, and was in several battles and campaigns; Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Central Europe and Rhineland. Nick was honorably discharged October 26, 1945. He had an impact on all who knew him with his love of life and those he loved. Nick will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Memorials may be made to Hickory Ridge Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.evansfh.com. Graveside services were Tuesday June 18, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Hickory Ridge Cemetery with Pastor David Barbee officiating. Services were under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
