Lula Alice Harrold Williamson, of North Little Rock, died at home on June 16, 2013. Known as Alice, she was born May 24, 1918 in DeWitt County, Illinois to Ira Otis Harrold and Lula Alice Prevatt Faber. She attended El Dorado public schools and graduated in 1936. She married James (Joe) Shelton Wiliamson on August 1, 1936. They lacked 1 month and 2 days celebrating their 50th anniversary. The oldest son, Joseph (Joe) Harrold Williamson and daughter, Dr. Anna Marie Rago also preceded her in death. She was baptized as an infant in the DeWitt Methodist Church and joined First Methodist Church in El Dorado at the age of six. As the family moved, so did she move her membership within the Methodist Church. She worked and supported her church until her death. She was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church at the time of her death. After moving to North Little Rock in 1967, she worked for North Little Rock School District as a secretary, retiring in 1987. She has been an active member of Beta Alpha Chapter, Chi Sigma Sorority Inc since 1988. She is survived by her two sons, James Franklin (Jimmy) and his wife Aylma, of El Dorado and her youngest son, Neill of Fayetteville. She also has six grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the UAMS Research Center for Breast Cancer, 4301 W. Markham, Slot #623F, Little Rock, AR 72205, 501-526-2277 (Checks should be made out to Cancer Institute Foundation), or the National Kidney Foundation, Finance Dept., 30 East 33rd Street, New York, N.Y. 10016. A graveside service will be held Friday, June 21, 2013, at 2 p.m., at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
