Dorothy Sawrie Kimery

Dorothy Sawrie Kimery, 94, of Little Rock formerly of Hot Springs passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013. She was born July 11, 1918 in Lamar, Ark. to the late Allen & Elsi Sawrie. Dorothy was a longtime member of Hot Springs Baptist Church, a Past Worthy Matron of the Hot Springs Eastern Stars and a member of the Salvation Army. Dorothy was the Owner/Operator of Dorothy's Beauty shop for 64 years. She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. Survivors include, sister, Louise Ferguson of Dardanelle, Ark., nephews and nieces, Tom & Judy Boyd, Eddy & Weesa Boyd, Charles & Cathy Sawrie, Jerry & Teresa Sawrie, Betty & Dr. Michael Platt, Barbara & Bruce Thaheimer, Martha & Warren Stephenson, Carol & Jere McAlister, John Sawrie, Charon Johnson, Mary Lou Olson and Jimmy & Jennifer Marsh and two sister-in-laws, Joan & Russ Kyler and Jean Sawrie. Visitation will be 1 p.m. Friday at Gross Funeral Home with services to follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
