Romeo Gatewood

Romeo Gatewood 85, of Little Rock, transitioned from earth to Heaven June 18, 2013. He was born in Conway Arkansas on February 27, 1928. Romeo attended Conway High School and Philander Smith College and worked for the Arkansas Gazette for 35 years. He's survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Mary L. Gatewood; four children; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 24, 2013, 11 a.m. at Gaines Street Baptist Church, 1601 S. Gaines Street, Little Rock, Ark. Interment with honors will be on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, 12 noon at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 Maryland Ave. North Little Rock, Ark.
