Max Jordan

MAX CLIFTON JORDAN, 92, currently of North Little Rock, Ark. but previously of Dallas, Texas passed away peacefully in the Hospice Care Unit at the VA Hospital in Little Rock, Ark. on June 19, 2013 He was born to the late C. Clifton and Vesta Pinson Jordan, July 13, 1920 in Forney, Texas. Max graduated from Highland Park High School in Dallas, Texas in 1928 and received a BS in Electrical Engineering from Texas A & M University in 1942. He served in the U.S. Army as a captain immediately upon graduation and was stationed in Iceland. After his return to the States he married Margaret Anne Moore on March 15, 1945 and they lived together in Dallas, Texas for a long time before relocating to North Little Rock in 2009. Max was an active member of Lovers Lane United Methodist Church, Sparkman Club, Brookhaven Country Club, Mid-Con (Electronic Sales) Club, IEEE (another Electronic Sales) Club and numerous others. He loved to spend time helping others, playing golf, raising his children and tending to his many aunts and uncles. He and Margaret Anne enjoyed a fair amount of traveling over the years. Max is survived by his wife, Margaret Anne; three children and their spouses, Susan and Tommy Eanes of North Little Rock, Ark., Robert and Julie Jordan of Mesquite, Texas and Bruce and Sandy Jordan of Lafayette, La. He is also survived by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Max is preceded in death by his two brothers, Richard Perry Jordan and James Pinson Jordan. Max worked for many years in the Electronic Sales business. His early employment was with Machinery Sales & Supply and Elgin B. Robertson Inc. in Oak Cliff and final employment was with MGR Electronics which he founded in 1978 in Dallas. Special thanks to the family of Susan and Tommy Eanes, John and Jill Eanes and Stephen and Liz Eanes, caregivers Pam Hairston, Sonya Bailey and Danielle Evans and the employees of Fox Ridge Assisted Living in North Little Rock who made the final years comfortable and pleasant. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the Mausoleum Gazebo at Griffin-Leggett Rest Hills Memorial Park, 7724 Landers Road in North Little Rock conducted by Rev.
