Joanne Swann Beard

Joanne Swann Beard, age 81, of Little Rock passed away on June 25th, 2013 at the Pleasant Valley Living Center. Mrs. Beard was born on August 4th, 1931 in Mineola, Texas, to the late Donie Humphreys and Alvin Swann. She was employed for over 20 years with the Little Rock Police Department and over a decade as a Criminal Court Clerk for the City. Mrs. Beard is survived by one son, Michael R. Beard (Sandra) of Hot Springs Village, and one daughter, Kim Travis of Little Rock; by two grandchildren, Jason Magness and Matthew Travis; one great-grandson, Logan Magness, a brother, Herbert L. Tatum (Dorothy) of Greenbrier, and by one sister, Colleen Byrd (Bob) of North Little Rock. A celebration of Mrs. Beard's life will be held at a later date.
